- Member of the National Honor Society all through school, with straight “A” grades. 1960-1968
- A member of the local 4-H club while in school. 1959-1961
- Won blue ribbons at the state fair when the sweater and the dress she had made were entered at
the
Hockley County Fair (Texas) 1959
- Was honored to be featured on the cover of the Navy Recruitment national magazine 1969 (see below)
- Married in 1969 and became Mother of two children (Mark, 1970 and Tracie, 1972)
- Was featured on local TV station (KTHV in Little Rock, AR) for her organic garden and home
canned foods.
1974-1975
- Won blue ribbons on her home canned foods at the Pulaski County Arkansas State Fair. 1973-1975
- Won hundreds of trophies and certificates (most of them 1st place) for running races and triathlons in
the southern region states, breaking some regional records.1976-1992. Awards included the 3rd place
age group award at the Boca Raton, FL National Triathlon in 1988
- Awarded certificate as a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2003, and then Master Massage Therapist in 2004.
- Married the man of her dreams (Colonel James Anderson) and moved to Florida in August, 2005
- Certified with the National Massage Association in 2005
- Became a Young Living Essential Oils distributor in 2006
- Awarded in January 2007 “Aqua Fitness Instructor of the Year” (2006) for the SHAPES
Fitness for Women of Florida.
